About This Event

Pediatric sepsis guidelines recommend prompt fluid and antibiotic administration for pediatric septic shock. Yet ideal fluid volume and antibiotic timing remained unclear. Join Children's Hospital Association as authors of two recent Improving Pediatric Sepsis Outcomes (IPSO) publications address these outstanding questions and share their findings.

Objectives

  • Evaluate the impact of fluid bolus volume on outcomes for pediatric sepsis patients.
  • Describe the impact of antibiotic timeliness on mortality for pediatric sepsis patients.
