As the nation’s leading advocate for children’s health, the 200+ members of the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) play a unique role as centers for pediatric care for nearly half of all children admitted to hospitals nationwide and most children with chronic conditions, serious illnesses, complex conditions, or those who need major surgical services.

H.R. 1 makes significant changes to the Medicaid program and includes policies that will limit children’s access to care. CHA is working with federal policymakers to mitigate any negative impact on children.
